When the house is a little too quiet

If I don’t look at you, you can’t see me….

Well Today was THE DAY. I knew it was a little to quiet in this house. And then I heard it. The little scrape scrape noise caught my attention. At first glance I didn’t see anything, but then again that’s the problem. I don’t see two little fuzzy puppies, I don’t see my grumpy old pup, or my tan little “shepard mix.” Then it hits me…. I don’t see my little blue eyes either. Panic should ensue at this point, but instead I start wondering what I could have possibly left out that he is getting into.

There’s the scratch scratch again. Where on earth did all my pets and baby go?

Scanning…. scanning…. found.

Blue eyes had both fists into the puppy chow, and was awkwardly chewing on a piece. He looked so happy with the food, I felt so bad taking the pieces away. I have to admit though before I did take them away, I had to get a couple snapshots for future embarrasment. The puppies were right beside him just waiting for him to share. Sometimes I love being a mom….

About Military Bride

Military Bride is my view of the world from a veteran, spouse, and mommy perspective. I’m sure it’s going to be a bumpy ride, but I don’t mind sharing triumphs and tears with you. I joined the Military at the age of 21, and met my husband not to long after. We’ve been married a little over 3 years, and have a beautiful baby boy. My life has already gone through drastic changes, from getting out of the military, to becoming a mommy and going back to school. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
